Mission Hikoi 2025

Are you curious about how the gospel connects with the margins? Want to experience communities living out the radical hospitality, justice, and love of Jesus?

The Mission Hikoi is a four-day road trip based out of Ngatiawa River Monastery, designed for young adults (18–30) to encounter expressions of incarnational Christian community and mission among the poor. Along the way we visit a vibrant mix of initiatives and communities: Catholic Worker houses, Urban Vision teams, refugee support ministries, Renew church plants, He Tangata Village, L’Arche Kāpiti, student communities, farms, motorbike sheds, and more. You’ll hear powerful stories, garden, serve, pray, eat together, and have a laugh while driving from place to place.

Some past participants have joined these communities. Others have started their own. Many walk away deeply challenged and encouraged in their existing callings.
