We envision an Aotearoa New Zealand where every neighbourhood has a thriving local community of faith. We do this by empowering leaders to birth local expressions of Christian community and mission in Aotearoa New Zealand, deeply embedded in the life of the neighbourhoods they serve.

Our Purpose:

Supporting church-planters and missional communities around Aotearoa, to support justice-oriented church renewal, through education and the creation of learning communities.

Our Secret Sauce

We are fostering an environment where the local Church can thrive in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our values as we go about this are Local, Prophetic, Practical and Adaptable.

Local - we prioritise support for groups, big or small, traditional or contemporary, that have a heart to renew a local place or neighbourhood. Our emphasis is missional before it is congregational. We recognise the unique context and history of Aotearoa and the importance of Te Tiriti O Waitangi. We seek to amplify historic stories of Christian renewal from this land before offshore examples.

Prophetic - we speak honestly and courageously about what the Spirit is saying to us about the good, the bad, and the beautiful of the Church and the culture. We aim to bring humble and respectful challenge. We are committed and passionate followers of Christ.

Practical - we are practitioner-led, emphasising the importance of action and reflection, which shapes our missional practice. We believe in grass-roots, embedded, and incarnational ministry.

Adaptable - we believe that the Good News must be good news everywhere to everyone, so we develop approaches that can be readily adapted to a myriad of different contexts and ministry environments.

FOUNDER and Church-Planter

Scottie is a priest, community worker, entrepreneur, writer, and speaker. For the past 18 years, he has been creating imaginative expressions of mission and ministry—helping plant communities that live out the Gospel in creative and practical ways. Alison and Martin Robinson

Trainers and Church-Planters

Alison and Martin have ministered at the margins of society for over three decades alongside refugees, prisoners, and the urban poor. Recently, they have led the re-planting a renewal of St David’s, Naenae to a thriving parish.

Melanie Keith

Community Engagement

Melanie has been a Baptist pastor and is a community leader with over 20 years of experience. She currently serves with Catch Network and brings her passion for people into the classroom as an educator in her local primary school. Melanie is deeply committed to seeing her community thrive, with a particular heart for creative expressions of loving and serving Jesus that are rooted in everyday local life.

Dave’s deep in Urban Vision team life in Berhampore, Wellington. He’s a former worker with Servants Asia, and alongside Catch, he runs the comms for the Wellington Anglican Diocese and Common Grace Aotearoa.
